For the last several months I have been trying to help Rodrigo Diaz achieve his goal of making new rims and wheels available for Model T cars
(not that he really needed my help). I have no
financial interestin his company but encouraged im in his endeavorsfor the benefit of the hobby.
Through all this we have become friends.
My involvement has been to provide info and test couple of his prototypes. I have to say that I am very impressed with the quallity of his products and recommend them without reservation to anyone looking for new rims or wheels. I am posting this to help Rodrigo get the word out.
Rodrigo has a long history of making wheels, first in Argentina and now in the US. He has developed most of the machines and tooling that he uses and can produce wheels or rims for
practically any classic vehicle from the late 1800’s onwards. Most of his wheels and rims are special order but he plans to keep some common Model T rims in stock.
Model T non-demountable, demountable and split rims are now available in the common sizes. Pricing (subject to change based upon market conditions) is $170 for non-demountable clinchers, $260 for Hayes or Ford Clinchers with four lugs, $290 for Split Rims with 4 lugs. Zinc plating is $30 extra per rim (passing on his cost)
and he can arrange powder coating upon request. Otherwise the prices quoted are for bare metal.
Wire wheels are a special order item but they are available.
IF you order the above-mentioned rims before September 15th and pay in advance you can pick them up at Hershey. Otherwise, they’ll be shipped at cost.
Thank you, Tim, for your appreciation and trust in us, both in using our wheels on your vehicle and in writing this article on social media.
